Registration Requirements
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Animal Health or equivalent qualification
- Completion of supervised practical training
- Passing of BVSC registration examination
Required Documents
Proof of Academic Qualification
Degree, diploma, certificate or copy certified by the issuing institution
Proof of Identification
Certified Omang (citizens) or Passport (non-citizens)
Photograph
Recent photo with signature on back, certified by Commissioner of Oaths (≤6 months)
Character Reference
Written evidence of good character from institution or registering body
Duties & Responsibilities
Assist veterinarians in clinical procedures
Conduct basic animal health examinations
Administer medications and vaccinations
Provide animal care and husbandry advice
Collect samples for laboratory testing
Maintain animal health records
Special Competency Registrations
Veterinary Professional Competence Specific Registration
Additional registration for specialized competencies (e.g., game capture) with specific requirements and fees.
Game Capture Competency
Specialized skills in wildlife capture, handling, and transportation
Laboratory Diagnostics
Specialized skills in veterinary laboratory procedures and diagnostics
Additional fees apply for competence specific registration: Citizens P150, Non-citizens P200
